About O Légal

O Légal is a Canada-based virtual law firm founded by Rouba Wehbe. Wehbe is admitted to the Barreau du Québec and the Law Society of Ontario, and the firm practices immigration law, private international law, and notarial services in Ontario. It also offers a separate line of non legal strategic advisory work, in public policy, governance, and international negotiation, for governments, institutions, businesses, and individuals working across borders. O Légal serves clients throughout Canada and internationally, and it operates in English, French, and Arabic.

Wehbe's practice grew out of a background that combines law with public policy. Before founding O Légal, Wehbe held legal and advisory positions within the Parliament of Canada, advising Members of Parliament and Ministers on legislative, regulatory, ethics, compliance, immigration, and public policy matters, and supporting the Office of the Prime Minister on strategic policy initiatives. Wehbe also teaches private international law at the University of Ottawa and the Université du Québec en Outaouais, and holds a Master of Arts in International Affairs from the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs at Carleton University, with legal studies at the Lebanese University, advanced studies at The Hague Academy of International Law, and training in international trade and multilateral negotiation through the World Trade Organization in Geneva.
