About Virginia G. Ollerhead

The Law Office of Virginia Ollerhead is a sole practice family law firm based in Nepean, in Ottawa's west end. Ollerhead earned a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Carleton University in 1984 and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Windsor in 1986, then was called to the Bar of the Law Society of Upper Canada in 1988. The practice has focused exclusively on family law since, covering divorce and separation, division of property, child support, spousal support, and custody and access, along with domestic contracts such as marriage contracts, cohabitation agreements, separation agreements and parenting agreements.

When a matter can't be settled through negotiation or mediation, Ollerhead represents clients before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, including case conferences, motions, settlement conferences, trial management conferences and trials. The office also offers notarial services. Senior legal assistant Mary-Anne, a Commissioner for Taking Oaths, has worked with Ollerhead since 2001. A 1991 graduate of Algonquin College's two year Legal Assistants Diploma program, Mary-Anne previously served three and a half years as an enforcement clerk at the Ottawa courthouse and two years with the Public Guardian and Trustees Office.
