About Labrosse Law

Labrosse Law is the Ottawa family law practice of Michèle Labrosse, who has practiced law in the city since being called to the Ontario bar in 1993. The practice operates as Michèle Labrosse Professional Corporation and practices in association with Cybulski Chettiar Johnston LLP, a downtown Ottawa family law group formerly known as MacKinnon & Phillips, sharing an office at 180 Elgin Street. The work is family law only: separation and divorce, spousal and child support, property division, custody and parenting arrangements, marriage contracts and cohabitation agreements, and adoption.

Labrosse earned a Bachelor of Social Sciences and a law degree from the University of Ottawa before entering practice, and has since appeared extensively before the courts in family law matters. Training in family mediation and collaborative family law rounds out that court experience, and Labrosse has taught the family law section of the Bar Admission Course of the Law Society of Upper Canada and presented at family law conferences. French is Labrosse's first language, and the practice runs fully in both English and French. A file typically starts with a consultation to review the situation and set out the options before any further work is agreed.
