About J. Clark Law

J. Clark Law is a solo family law practice with an office in Kanata, on Ottawa's west end. Jacquelynne Clark opened the firm in May 2021, after practicing family law since being called to the Ontario bar in 2016. Clark grew up in the West Carleton area and completed an undergraduate degree at Carleton University, with distinction, before earning a Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa.

The firm covers most of what a Kanata family needs from a family lawyer: separation and divorce, parenting plans, marriage contracts, cohabitation agreements, and adoptions, including private, public, step parent and international adoptions. Clark also offers independent legal advice for clients about to sign an agreement, and unbundled legal services for people who want to manage part of a matter themselves and pay for help only where they need it. Court work is part of the practice too, with matters argued before the courts covering property division, support and high conflict parenting disputes, including cases involving parental alienation. The firm's founder is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and belongs to the Carleton County Law Association, where Clark serves on the Family Law Advisory Committee.
