About Judy L. Antymniuk

Judy Antymniuk is an Ottawa lawyer who has practised exclusively in family law and divorce law since 1993, more than 30 years focused on a single area of law. Antymniuk grew up in Winnipeg and earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Manitoba, then articled in Toronto and completed the bar admission course in Ottawa. Antymniuk began a career at a large corporate firm before moving into family law because of its personal nature, and went on to practise for years with MacKinnon and Phillips, Barristers and Solicitors, in downtown Ottawa.

Antymniuk's practice covered custody and access, child and spousal support, property division, and the separation of both married and common law couples, working to settle matters through negotiation where possible and appearing in family court when a settlement couldn't be reached. Antymniuk also trained in family mediation and joined the Ontario Association for Family Mediation, and trained as a collaborative divorce and family lawyer through Collaborative Practice Ottawa, giving clients mediation and collaborative divorce as alternatives to a full court process. The practice is currently on leave due to a family illness, and new inquiries are being referred to lawyers at the former firm, now practising as Cybulski Chettiar Johnston LLP.
