About Jennifer A. Stiell

Jennifer A. Stiell operates a law practice in Ottawa focused on real estate transactions and wills and estate administration. A graduate of the University of Western Ontario, Stiell was called to the bar in British Columbia in 1978 and practised there for nine years before relocating to Ontario, where admission to the Law Society of Upper Canada followed in 1987. More than three decades of practice now sit behind the Ottawa office at 150 Isabella Street. Assisting seniors with real estate and estate matters is a particular focus of the practice.

Two other lawyers work from adjacent offices on the same floor, so a lawyer is usually available even when Stiell is not. Bernhard Dueck, a University of Manitoba law graduate, practises real estate law, wills and estates, and corporate and business law from a neighbouring office. Pat Murphy, another colleague nearby, concentrates on estate planning and offers a trademarked Family Will Planning Process for transferring wealth between generations. On the real estate side, the practice handles home, cottage, and commercial purchases and sales, title transfers, and residential and commercial refinancing. The wills and estates side covers drafting wills and powers of attorney and administering estates for executors and families.
