Schmidt Law Legal Services is a small civil litigation and general practice firm with offices in Port Hope and Cobourg, Ontario, serving Northumberland County and the surrounding Hastings, Peterborough, Durham and Toronto areas. The Port Hope practice traces back to an earlier partnership, Mann McCracken Bebee & Schmidt, and now operates as Jason A. Schmidt Legal Professional Corporation. Founder Jason A. Schmidt holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Art History and Political Science from the University of Toronto and a Juris Doctor from Queen's University, where volunteer work with Queen's Legal Aid gave an early grounding in courtroom practice. After articling at a Toronto litigation firm, Schmidt relocated to Port Hope to join the practice that later took the Mann McCracken Bebee & Schmidt name.

The firm's practice covers civil litigation, personal injury, family law, real estate and estate litigation, along with wills, powers of attorney, employment law for both employers and employees, landlord and tenant disputes, and collections. That litigation work has taken the firm before the Superior Court of Justice, the Divisional Court, the Court of Appeal for Ontario, Small Claims Court, the Landlord and Tenant Board, the Human Rights Tribunal, the Labour Board, the Social Security Tribunal and various professional disciplinary bodies, as well as mediation and negotiation outside the courtroom.
