About Bebee & Associates

Bebee & Associates is a law firm based in Cobourg, Ontario, in Northumberland County. Marc Bebee, a graduate of Queen's University's law school, has practised in the area since 2001 and built the firm from its original Cobourg office. Bebee served as the standing agent for the Public Prosecution Service of Canada, the federal Crown office that handles drug prosecutions, for about 14 years.

The firm later expanded east into Belleville, opening a second office that serves the Greater Bay of Quinte area alongside its Northumberland County base. The practice doesn't specialize narrowly: its lawyers cover real estate, wills and estates, family law, criminal law, civil law, and personal injury across Cobourg, Peterborough, Lindsay, Durham Region, Belleville, and the surrounding communities. One of the firm's other lawyers joined as an articling student from northern British Columbia and stayed on with the office after being called to the bar. Another, raised locally in Peterborough, also joined as an articling student and now practices at the firm. A third lawyer, originally from Vermont, moved to Cobourg and maintained a solo practice there before joining Bebee & Associates.

Bebee & Associates accepts Legal Aid Ontario certificates for qualifying clients and offers evening and weekend appointments for real estate closings. Its office staff includes a bookkeeper who's fluent in Russian and Belarusian.
