About MG Law

MG Law is a personal injury firm in St. Catharines, Ontario, operated by lawyer Mark Groves under the name MG Law Professional Corporation. The firm represents plaintiffs only, taking on motor vehicle accident claims, statutory accident benefits disputes, long-term disability claims, slip and fall and occupiers' liability cases, catastrophic injury claims, CPP disability claims, and dog bite claims. It serves clients in St. Catharines, Niagara Falls, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Hamilton, and the surrounding area.

Groves brings an unusual combination of training to that work: a B.Kin (Honours) in kinesiology from Brock University, followed by a Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa and a call to the bar in 2013. That kinesiology background supports a working knowledge of musculoskeletal injury and the rehabilitation process, which comes in handy when assessing a client's recovery, and Groves has kept building on it, working toward a Registered Kinesiologist designation from the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario alongside the law practice. Before moving into law full time, three years as a volunteer firefighter with the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake Fire & Emergency Services put Groves in direct contact with the kind of traumatic accidents that clients now bring to the firm.
