About Azatian Law

Azatian Law is a solo practice with offices in Toronto and St. Catharines, Ontario, handling family law, small business matters, wills and estates, and notarial services. Lilia Azatian founded the practice in 2018. The office on Church Street in downtown St. Catharines keeps regular business hours and handles most client meetings by appointment; the Toronto office on Don Mills Road serves clients in that city. The firm offers services in English, Russian, and Armenian.

Before opening the practice, Azatian Law's founder studied political science at the University of Toronto, then completed a law degree at Kent University in the United Kingdom. Early practice included an articling term at BPR Litigation Lawyers, a firm focused on construction litigation, followed by an in-house corporate counsel role at a technology company. That path shaped the firm's current focus: business transactions such as incorporations, partnerships, shareholder agreements, and the purchase and sale of businesses for entrepreneurs and small and medium sized companies, along with a family law practice built around domestic contracts, parenting arrangements, and spousal support. The family law side pays particular attention to diverse family structures and favors mediation and negotiation over litigation when that's possible.
