Legate Injury Lawyers is a personal injury and medical malpractice firm on Queens Avenue in downtown London, Ontario. For more than 40 years the practice has represented people hurt in car accidents, slip and falls, and workplace or recreational incidents, along with families affected by birth injuries, misdiagnosis, and surgical or obstetrical negligence. In February 2026, founder Barbara Legate and Alex Wolfe formed a partnership to lead the firm together, working alongside associates Luke Kilroy, Amanda Enwright, and Danielle Ramsay.
Legate was called to the Ontario bar in 1981 and has held a Law Society of Ontario Certified Specialist designation in Civil Litigation since 1996, the ninth woman in the province to earn it. Legate also became the first woman to serve as president of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association. Rather than draw most of its clients from the immediate neighbourhood, the firm takes on a substantial share of its litigation and appellate work through referrals and co-counsel arrangements with other lawyers, and it offers a free initial consultation along with a hybrid model of in-person and virtual meetings.
