Bonn Law is a personal injury and criminal defence firm based in Belleville, Ontario. George Bonn started the practice in 1972 as a sole practitioner serving the Quinte region, after earning a BComm from Queen's University in 1967 and an LL.B. from Queen's in 1970. Since the early 1990s, Bonn's own practice has focused on representing people who have been seriously injured and the families of people who have been wrongfully killed. The firm's lawyers today include Kristian (Kris) Bonn, Rebecca Patten, James Lisowski, Matthew Gysbers, and Paméla Goulet-Gosselin, working across personal injury, insurance disputes, medical malpractice, and criminal defence matters.
For more than 50 years, Bonn Law ran a second office in Trenton alongside its Belleville location. In June 2023 the firm closed the Trenton office, which George Bonn had opened in 1972, and consolidated into its Belleville building on North Front Street. Clients in Quinte West, Bancroft, Cobourg, Napanee, Kingston, and Prince Edward County still reach the same lawyers by phone, video, or a home visit. George Bonn is a past president and a founding lifetime director of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, and received OTLA's John A. McLeish Award of Excellence in Advocacy in 2009.
