Whitney Smith Family Law is a family law practice based in Hamilton, Ontario, with a second office in St. Catharines that serves the Niagara region. The firm was founded by Whitney Smith, who has specialized in family law since being called to the bar. Smith earned a Bachelor of Arts in World Religions from McGill University, then a Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto in 2012, and held a leadership role there with the Family Law Project, a pro bono initiative that provides family law help to low income, self represented litigants.

Before opening the firm, Smith worked as an associate at Vandeputte Law in Hamilton starting in 2017, practicing family law along with some real estate and civil litigation work. Whitney Smith Family Law today focuses on collaborative family law, domestic contracts such as cohabitation agreements, marriage contracts, and separation agreements, and family law litigation covering parenting time and decision making, property division, and spousal and child support, along with limited scope, a-la-carte services for clients who want help with part of a matter rather than full representation. The firm describes its approach as resolving family law matters with dignity and respect, relying on negotiation and collaborative process before turning to court.
