It's dedicated primarily to real estate law, handling residential and commercial purchases, sales and mortgage refinances, and rounds that out with wills, powers of attorney and estate administration, plus business work such as incorporations and acquisitions. Berlingieri graduated from the law school at the University of Western Ontario in 1981 and speaks Italian. DePaulo, the firm's other co-founder, has since retired from the firm. Partner Alanna Stephen was called to the Ontario bar in 2005 after articling at O'Connor MacLeod Hanna in Oakville, and speaks Spanish as a second language, having lived in Bolivia and Spain. That mix of language and international experience carries into the newer associates too: Alyssa Di Lallo, born and raised in the Niagara Region, earned a law degree with honours from the University of Exeter in the United Kingdom before joining the firm in 2021.
