Apollaw Immigration is a sole-practitioner law firm in Hamilton, Ontario that practices only in immigration, refugee, and citizenship law. Daniela Dobrota, the firm's principal lawyer, began a legal career at the United Nations International Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in the Netherlands, then worked at two immigration and refugee law firms in Hamilton and in the business immigration group of a Montreal law firm. Dobrota studied law at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law (B.C.L., 2010) and later at McGill University's Faculty of Law (LL.M., 2015; J.D. and B.C.L., 2017), working part time as a human resources coordinator at a Canadian-Indian telecommunications company along the way.

Before qualifying as a lawyer, Dobrota had been a refugee, a temporary foreign worker, an international student, and an immigrant, a background the firm says shapes how it works with clients. Apollaw Immigration now handles the full range of Canadian immigration files, from temporary work and study permits and visitor status through economic and family sponsorship applications to refugee claims, appeals, and citizenship. Dobrota also belongs to the Quebec Association of Immigration Lawyers and takes on certain Quebec immigration matters alongside Ontario ones.
