About Parton Law Group

Parton Law Group is a family law and wills and estates firm founded in 2012 in Dundas, Ontario, where founder Christopher Parton grew up. It started as a one-lawyer practice and has grown into a team of associates working from two Dundas addresses and a second office in Burlington, serving clients across Hamilton, Burlington, Dundas, and Oakville. The firm doesn't spread itself across many areas of law; instead it concentrates on family law and wills and estates, while also handling corporate services and residential real estate.

Before founding the firm, Parton served as an infantry officer in the Canadian Armed Forces, lived in Japan for five years, and interned in federal court on terrorist and organized crime matters. Parton also practised law in the United States, working for federal and state judges, and practised family law in New Hampshire before returning to Dundas to open a practice. The firm operated for years as the Law Office of Christopher M. Parton; that old domain now redirects to the current Parton Law Group site. Its second Dundas office, at 63 King Street West, is a Victorian Italianate building put up shortly after the town's 1871 fire, on a block that has held a law office before.
