Henshell Law Office is a small Burlington, Ontario firm founded in 2002 by Katherine I. Henshell. It practices in two areas: residential real estate transactions and debt recovery. On the recovery side, the firm represents individuals and corporations in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and, nationally, in Small Claims Court, handling garnishments, examinations, unsecured debt claims, and the enforcement of judgments from other provinces and countries. On the real estate side, it acts for first-time buyers, existing homeowners, and investors on purchases, sales, and mortgage refinancing.

Recovery files are billed on a flat-fee or product-pricing basis under an agreed schedule rather than by the hour, and the firm uses database and web-based file-tracking tools to manage volume collection work. Henshell holds a B.A. in political science and an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University (1999), plus an LL.M. in civil litigation from Osgoode (2008). Henshell has taught debtor-creditor law as a professor at Sheridan College and has been a guest lecturer for the Hamilton Law Association and the Paralegal Society of Ontario, and has published articles on garnishment procedure and the enforcement of extra-provincial judgments in the Hamilton Lawyer and the Hamilton Law Journal.
