Amy K. That earlier training included time at firms in New Brunswick and Ontario during law school, spanning criminal defence, personal injury, and wills and estates. Originally from the Maritimes, the founder played varsity rugby during university and credits the sport for a dedication to hard work. Sweet Law works out of Unit 120 in the Granary Building at 111 Farquhar Street, one of downtown Guelph's landmark restorations. The building went up in 1858 as a grain depot tied to Toronto's Gooderham and Worts distillery, which makes it, by the current owner's account, Guelph's oldest industrial building. Brick veneer was added in 1914 during a later life as a produce depot, and after years of decline the structure was bought and restored by a Guelph heritage-property company in 2012. Today it houses the Guelph Chamber of Commerce alongside a mix of professional and technology tenants. The building overlooks Guelph Central Station, the city's combined rail and bus hub a short walk from City Hall, so clients coming in from Kitchener-Waterloo, Orangeville, or Brantford can reach the office by GO or VIA as easily as by car.
