About Grey Bruce Law

Grey Bruce Law is a sole practitioner firm in Owen Sound, Ontario, run by Michael Forcier. Forcier studied economics at the University of Toronto, earned a law degree at Windsor Law School, and was called to the bar in 1986. After relocating to Owen Sound in 1991, Forcier has maintained a practice across Grey and Bruce Counties ever since, working in real estate, wills and estates, family law and collaborative family law, and business and corporate law. The firm describes itself as looking for new ways to serve clients rather than sticking to one approach.

That approach includes Propertyshop.CA, an online service Forcier founded that now counts more than twenty associated firms across Ontario. It lets home sellers advertise and manage their own sale while still getting the legal work Ontario requires to close a real estate deal, at a flat fee rather than a full commission. Forcier has also taught the Estate Law Clerks course at Georgian College and presented papers at Canadian Bar Association meetings and Ontario Bar Association seminars, alongside a collaborative family law practice built around keeping separated couples out of court.
