About Dorrington Law Professional Corporation

Dorrington Law Professional Corporation is a general practice law firm in Timmins, Ontario. Its office on Third Avenue serves clients across Northern Ontario. Donna-Marie Dorrington founded the firm in September 2013, after earning a law degree from Queen's University in 2003 and being called to the Ontario Bar in 2004. Before founding the firm, Dorrington articled with a labour and employment law firm, then worked at Legal Aid Ontario, before returning to general practice for several more years. At its founding, the firm shared space with two other lawyers practicing different areas of law, an arrangement described on the firm's own site at the time as the first of its kind in Timmins.

The firm's practice covers six main areas: family law, real estate law, criminal law, civil litigation, personal injury, and wills, trusts and estates. Dorrington has also taught family law, criminal law and civil litigation at Northern College as a member of the faculty for the college's law clerk program, and was chosen to serve another term as Northeast Regional Director for the Ontario Bar Association, a term that began in September 2022, representing lawyers across the region on the OBA's board of directors.
