About Véronique

Véronique Cyr is a lawyer and family mediator at Brunet & Associés, which she joined in 2016 after more than seven years in private practice in general civil litigation and family law. She favours dispute prevention and amicable resolution, aiming to keep spouses and parents in control of their own matters. Cyr has particular experience with unjust enrichment claims and the division of jointly held property between common-law spouses, and she also acts as an external family mediation adviser. She represents clients in family matters before the Cour du Québec, the Cour supérieure and the Cour d'appel and participates in settlement conferences. Cyr is accredited in family mediation and is an active member of the Association des médiateurs familiaux du Québec. She was named 'Lawyer of the Year' in family law at the 2018 Gala des Jeunes Leaders de Demain.
