About Tony

Tony Magre is a real estate and construction lawyer whose practice covers the full range of real property transactions, including buying, selling, developing, financing, and leasing residential, multi-family, office, retail, and industrial properties. He also advises on construction law and on corporate and commercial matters such as joint venture, partnership, and shareholder arrangements. He founded Westgrove Law after working at a national business law firm, where he advised on some of the largest and most complex real property transactions in the Canadian market. Magre is an adjunct professor at the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia, teaching a course on real estate transactions, and has co-authored practice materials for the Law Society of British Columbia and the Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia. Before university, he worked for seven years as a drywaller and painter on residential and commercial construction projects in Victoria and the Western Communities. He is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia, the Canadian Bar Association's Real Property and Construction Law Subsections, and the Urban Development Institute.
