About Terrence

Terrence A. Cooper, KC is a partner at Cooper & Company in Fort McMurray, where he and his wife Val, a senior real estate conveyancer at the firm, raised their family. He has practiced law in the community for over 35 years, with extensive litigation experience as well as solicitor work in corporate and commercial law, including real estate development and contract and lease negotiation. In 2016, he received the Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers Association's Gary J. Bigg Champion of Justice Award for his work assisting the community following the 2016 Fort McMurray wildfire. His practice covers personal injury, family law, civil litigation, corporate and business law, real estate, employment law, construction law, wills and estates, and insurance law.
