About Taya
Taya Mikado brings a grief-informed approach to estate planning and administration at Fern Law, drawing on experience in grief peer support to help clients navigate loss. Mikado works on estate disputes and aims to simplify complex matters for clients with compassion and clarity. Mikado earned a BA (Hons) from the University of British Columbia in 2021 and a JD from the Lincoln Alexander School of Law in 2024, and was called to the Ontario bar in 2025. Outside of law, Mikado volunteers within the Japanese Canadian community.
