About Stephen

Stephen Kylie was born and raised in Peterborough, Ontario. He earned a Bachelor of Science in mathematics and economics from Trent University in 1975 and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Ottawa in 1978, and he was called to the bar by the Law Society of Upper Canada in 1980. He has practised law in Peterborough for more than four decades, focusing on corporate and business law, real estate, and estate administration and planning. Kylie has also been extensively involved in the Peterborough community, chairing organizations including The Mount Community Centre Board, the Peterborough Poverty Reduction Network, and St. Joseph's Care Group, and serving on the boards of Trent University and several local health and utility organizations. His community contributions have been recognized with honours including the Greater Peterborough Chamber of Commerce's 2016 Business Citizen of the Year award and the Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal.
