About Stephen

Stephen Angers is a criminal-law lawyer who graduated from the Université de Montréal and has practised law for more than 30 years. He founded his own firm in 1993 and focuses on criminal and penal law, having argued more than fifty cases before the Cour d'appel along with hundreds of cases before the Cour du Québec and the Cour supérieure. Angers primarily represents individuals facing their first criminal matter, and he also appears before administrative and civil tribunals in civil litigation matters. Outside his practice, he is known as a gallery owner and competitive fencer.
