About Sophie

Sophie Estienne joined the firm as a lawyer in 2021 after growing up between France and Quebec. She was called to the Quebec Bar in 2019 and holds an LL.M. in international and transnational law from Université Laval, an LL.B. from the same university, and a Master 1 in criminal law plus a Licence en droit privé from the Université de Montpellier in France. Her practice focuses on civil litigation, the law of persons, cooperative law, and class actions, with particular experience in civil liability claims involving sexual violence, having acted as a partner lawyer for Juripop. She is active with several legal organizations, including Juripop, Éducaloi, the Revue québécoise de droit international, and the Jeune Barreau de Montréal, where she received the 2022 volunteer of the year award and served on the board from 2022 to 2025. She currently sits as secretary-counsellor on the board of the Barreau de Montréal and is a member of several Barreau committees.
