About Shelly

Shelly Hansen founded Sylvan Lake Law Office in 2012 after articling in Fort McMurray, Alberta. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Calgary in 1999 and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Windsor in 2002. Her practice is exclusively family law, and she is a Registered Collaborative Family Lawyer who works to settle matters where possible while remaining an experienced litigator when court is necessary. She has appeared in reported Alberta Court of King's Bench decisions including Parsons v. Parsons (2014 ABQB 586), Rockey v. Hartwell (2016 ABQB 438) and Fournier v. Fournier (2019 ABQB 97).
