About Sanjeeta

Sanjeeta K. Johal was called to the bar in 2006 after completing her J.D. at the University of British Columbia (Allard Hall) in 2005 and her B.A. at Simon Fraser University in 2002. She began her career at a boutique litigation firm in Vancouver, then spent 12 years at one of the largest litigation firms in Western Canada before managing the litigation department of a local Surrey firm for three years and founding Sanjeeta Johal Law Corporation in 2024. Her trial practice covers Supreme Court commercial, business and general civil matters, including contract disputes, real estate litigation, foreclosure proceedings, shareholder disputes, construction law and commercial lease and residential tenancy disputes. She is active with the Canadian Bar Association (BC Branch), serving on the Executive of the General Practice, Solo and Small Firm Section and as a section representative on the CBABC Provincial Council, and mentors junior lawyers through the CBABC Women's Legal Forum and other programs.
