About Robert

Robert Karrass focuses his practice on litigation and alternative dispute resolution, appearing in criminal defence, civil, administrative, and regulatory matters at trial and appellate levels. He received his J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School, where he won the Kenneth Gibson Morden Memorial Prize for standing highest in Evidence. Before founding Karrass Law, he was a partner at a boutique law firm in North York and served as a per diem Crown Attorney with the Ministry of the Attorney General and as a presiding member of the Consent and Capacity Board. He has taught at George Brown College, McMaster University, and Osgoode Hall Law School, and writes a column for The Lawyer's Daily. He is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Ontario and Canadian Bar Associations, the Ontario Trial Lawyers' Association, and the Criminal Lawyers' Association. Outside law, he is a pianist and musicologist who continues to teach music at the college and university level.
