About Richard

Richard Généreux is the founding, managing partner and president of Evolex, a Montreal boutique firm specializing in tax law and litigation. He earned a law degree from the University of Ottawa and completed graduate coursework in taxation at the Université de Sherbrooke before being admitted to the Barreau du Québec. Early in his career he worked for the federal Department of Justice in Ottawa and as tax counsel for Revenu Québec's litigation branch, advising tax authorities and representing the government in tax disputes. For more than 32 years he has represented small and medium-sized businesses and individuals across Quebec in disputes with tax authorities. Généreux also practises civil and commercial litigation and bankruptcy and insolvency law, and is an accredited mediator in civil and commercial matters.
