Umer Hameed is a criminal defence lawyer practising in Ontario who articled at a boutique criminal defence firm in downtown Toronto before working as an associate at a prominent Toronto criminal defence firm. He has represented clients before the Ontario Court of Justice, the Superior Court of Justice, and on appeal before the Court of Appeal for Ontario, on charges including assault, sexual assault, impaired driving, and drug trafficking. He holds a Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours from the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom and an LL.M. in Canadian Common Law from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with Honours, cum laude, from York University before studying law.
