About R.
R. Gordon Cormie is counsel at DBH Law practicing securities, corporate and business, commercial, energy, estate planning, and commercial and residential real estate law. Admitted to the Alberta bar in 1973, Gord practiced at several Calgary firms before becoming a partner at DLBH LLP, the firm now known as DBH Law, drawing on experience with regulatory bodies across Canada to negotiate resource and energy asset transactions in Canada, the United States, Europe, and the Far East. His estate planning work spans wills and personal directives through to the establishment of trusts and family trusts in Canada and the United States. Gord has also served as a director and officer of several public and private energy companies, helping develop corporate strategy and raise capital. He resigned as a partner with DLBH LLP in February 2016 and rejoined the firm as counsel in February 2017.
