About Nicholas

Nicholas (Xiaoliang) Sun is the founder of Sunwood Law, practising criminal law, family law, and immigration law, often in matters that touch more than one of these areas. He is drawn to appeals, investigations, and complex litigation, and has conducted trials to secure outcomes for clients. Before starting Sunwood Law, he worked at a mid-sized firm practising criminal and family law. He holds two undergraduate degrees from the University of York in Business & Society and Law & Society, and a J.D. from the University of Southampton in the United Kingdom. He also has an entrepreneurial background, having been a business owner in China, and provides legal services in both Mandarin and English.
