About Nicholas
Nicholas Whelan joined McMurter & Associates as an associate in 2017 and became a partner in 2025, with a practice focused on real estate law and wills and estate planning. He has extensive experience across residential real estate transactions, drafting agreements for private sales, acting for lenders and borrowers on refinancing, reviewing pre-construction contracts, and arranging title insurance for home buyers. On the estates side, he advises clients on wills and powers of attorney and works with estate trustees through the administration process. Nicholas was called to the Ontario bar in 2015 and holds a law degree with honours from the University of Queensland in Australia and a Bachelor of Arts from Queen's University.
