About Nicholas
Nicholas (Nick) Jacob is a criminal defence lawyer practicing as Nicholas Jacob, Barrister & Solicitor in Vernon, BC. He grew up in Sarnia, Ontario and earned an honours B.A. in psychology from McMaster University before completing a second bachelor's degree in political science at York University's Glendon College. Jacob earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Victoria's Faculty of Law in 2012, where he took part in the Law Centre clinical program and won acquittals in two criminal trials, and articled with Vancouver Island criminal defence lawyer Michael J. Munro before being called to the bar in May 2013. He worked in civil litigation and family law in Victoria while maintaining his own criminal defence clients, then moved to Vernon to serve as a Federal Crown prosecutor developing expertise in drug offences and Charter litigation, before opening his own firm on January 1, 2016. Jacob's practice has produced numerous acquittals, charge withdrawals, and successful Charter applications for clients across the BC Interior.
