Wills, Estates & TrustsNatasha Sivret founded Sivret Légal after beginning her career as a Crown prosecutor, then moving into civil and commercial litigation at a larger firm. She has more than ten years of experience representing clients in contractual disputes, shareholder conflicts, real estate litigation, estate disputes, municipal law, construction law, and employment matters, including cases before the Court of Appeal. She has delivered conferences and training to associations, elected officials, and other lawyers, contributed to legal publications, and mentored students and young lawyers. She was a co-recipient of the Prix Natacha Binsse-Masse from the Fondation UQAM, awarded for a concrete commitment to protecting human rights and freedoms, and she sits on the board of Promutuel Assurance Alta as President of its Ethics Committee. She holds a law degree (LL.B.) and a Bachelor's degree in anthropology, earned with distinction. Selected matters include recovering a $200,000 real estate deposit in a judgment upheld on appeal, authorizing a shareholder derivative action involving more than $8 million in alleged misappropriated funds, and an estate dispute resulting in a finding of abuse of process and an award of more than $62,000 in damages and fees.
