About Mohit

Mohit Chhibber is a lawyer at Dhanu Dhaliwal Law Group practising primarily in family, immigration and refugee law. Since his call to the British Columbia bar in 2020, he has represented clients before the Provincial and Supreme Courts of British Columbia, the Federal Court of Canada, and the Immigration and Refugee Board's appeal and protection divisions, and has argued administrative deferrals with the Canada Border Services Agency. He began his legal career in New Delhi, India, where he was called to the bar in 2016 and practised family and criminal law at a boutique firm while volunteering with the National Legal Services Authority and the National Human Rights Commission. He completed an LL.M in common law at the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia in 2018, serving as Vice President of its Graduate Law Students' Society, and moved to Canada permanently in 2017. He serves clients in English, Hindi and Punjabi.
