Administrative & Regulatory LawMitchell Rowe has practised civil and criminal litigation in Ottawa since 1989, appearing in trials and hearings covering employment dismissal, human rights violations, professional discipline, criminal defence, negligence, sexual assault, defamation and mental health capacity matters. He earned an Honours Degree in Political Science from Wilfrid Laurier University in 1979, graduated from Western University's Faculty of Law in 1985, where he was elected president of the law faculty's student body and named to the Dean Ivan Rand Honour Society, and articled at the Toronto firm Tory, Tory before being called to the Ontario bar in 1987. He later attended a one-year program for international students at Sciences Po in Paris, graduating in 1989, before opening his own Ottawa litigation practice that year. His practice is centred in Ottawa and Eastern Ontario, and he has a working knowledge of French.
