About Michel

Michel Cossette has been a member of the Barreau du Québec since 1982 and has always practised in private practice. He advises on corporate organization and governance, service delivery, personnel management and relations with government and municipal authorities, and does similar work for small businesses and individuals in civil and commercial matters. He has pleaded before Quebec's civil courts and several administrative tribunals at first instance, on judicial review and on appeal. He sat on the board of three public institutions for more than 20 years and is a founding member of the Institut du nouveau monde, a non-partisan organization promoting civic participation, chairing its board for more than 10 years. He partnered with Andrée Dolan, who had practised alongside him since 1998, in January 2012.
