About Michaela
Michaela Diakiw is a member of the Law Societies of Ontario, British Columbia, and Alberta who has practised insurance law for over a decade. Before her legal career, she worked for several years for insurance companies, and she has also worked in a plaintiff-only practice. Early on she handled personal injury matters, including motor vehicle accidents, farm injuries, and slip and falls; more recently she has focused on long-term disability, life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment, and employment law, representing both employees and employers. She has a particular interest in mental health and addiction as disabilities.
