About Merv

Merv Nidesh has practised law since 1969 and is one of the longest-serving active lawyers in Saskatchewan. As senior counsel at Chow McLeod, he focuses on criminal law, appearing from the Provincial Court level through to the Supreme Court of Canada, and has conducted numerous criminal trials and appeals across Saskatchewan and Alberta. He is a member of the Law Society of Saskatchewan and the Law Society of Alberta, and he holds a Canadian Securities Course Certificate of Achievement and a qualification as an Alcohol Breath Testing Technician. Nidesh is also a trained mediator and collaborative lawyer. In 1984, he was appointed Queen's Counsel, a designation now recognized as King's Counsel.
