About Marla

Marla Billinghurst joined Chapman Goddard Kagan in October 2023. She obtained her LL.B. from the University of Manitoba in 1999 and was called to the Manitoba Bar in 2000. Her practice focuses on real estate, wills and estates, administrative tribunals, and family law agreements. She previously served as Director of Career Development and a sessional instructor at the University of Manitoba's Faculty of Law, teaching Legal Methods and Real Estate Transactions and coaching negotiations, before becoming Acting Assistant Dean of Law at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, B.C. She returned to her hometown of Winnipeg to continue her practice and currently serves as Vice-Chairperson of the City of Winnipeg Board of Revision.
