About Marc

Marc A. Misner is the principal lawyer at Legatum Estate Litigation, which he founded in Abbotsford in 2014 after nearly a decade of litigation experience. He was called to the bar in British Columbia in May 2006 and holds an LL.B. from the University of Alberta. His practice focuses on estate litigation, including disputes over wills, trusts, and powers of attorney, as well as elder law matters such as the misuse of financial assets. He has argued cases at all levels of court in British Columbia, including a 2010 BC Supreme Court decision in an internet defamation and privacy case that drew national media coverage. He has also successfully argued cases before the BC Court of Appeal involving estate executor removal and beneficiaries' rights to estate accounting information.
