About Lisa
Lisa Jean Helps is the founding partner of Helps Law Corporation, practising exclusively criminal and regulatory law since she was called to the bar in 2004. She appears regularly before the Provincial, Supreme, and Appeal Courts of British Columbia, as well as the Supreme Court of Canada, and is frequently sought out for her experience with murder cases and jury trials. Her litigation experience spans charter arguments, murder and manslaughter, sexual assault, domestic assault, drug and alcohol charges, motor vehicle offences, and appeals. She holds an LL.B. (2004) and a B.A. (2000) from the University of British Columbia and belongs to the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Vancouver Bar Association. She represents members of several unions, including CUPE and the BCTF, facing criminal charges.
