About Lewis

Lewis Spencer is a partner at Derpak White Spencer LLP who has practiced law since 1992, beginning in the Criminal Courts of British Columbia. His practice today spans family law, wills and estates, criminal defence, and general litigation. In family law he handles mediation, division of assets, custody disputes, and emergency Hague Convention applications for the return of internationally abducted children. His criminal defence work includes representing clients charged with offences ranging from assault and drug trafficking to more serious charges, including jury trials. He also conducts discoveries and trials in civil matters, handles ICBC personal injury claims, and takes on estate probate work, including wills variation challenges.
