About Lemooriya
Lemooriya Ananthan has focused solely on family law matters since graduating from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2021, and was called to the bar in 2023. Lemooriya worked as an associate lawyer at several boutique family law practices in the GTA, plus a mid-sized Ottawa firm, handling high-conflict family and child protection cases across Southern Ontario, including matters involving family violence, parental alienation, and financial disputes. Current work covers parenting arrangements, decision-making authority, child and spousal support claims, and the division of family property, generally aiming for practical negotiated outcomes but remaining a strong advocate in the Superior Court of Justice when litigation becomes necessary. Lemooriya takes a trauma-informed approach with clients, speaks Tamil, and serves on the Women's Committee of the Canadian Tamils' Chamber of Commerce.
