About Kenneth

Kenneth Pope has practised law in Ontario since 1980, focusing on estate planning for families with a member who has a disability or special needs. He specializes in Henson Trusts, which allow a child with a disability to inherit assets without losing ODSP benefits, and his practice also covers testamentary and inter vivos trusts, asset protection, minimizing taxes on inherited assets, powers of attorney, legal guardianship, competency issues, and both contested and uncontested estate administration. He assists clients with disability and caregiver tax credit applications and CRA appeals, and he's a member of the Law Society of Ontario and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). Ken has also been active with non-profit and charitable organizations since 1975, including as a founding member and board president.
