About Kayla

Kayla DeMars-Krentz is a lawyer and mediator with a background in counselling and psychology who founded KDK Legal's Out of Court Divorce program. She focuses on keeping family law matters out of court through collaborative negotiation, mediation and parenting coordination, turning to litigation only when necessary. She has appeared at family law trials throughout Saskatchewan for more than a decade, including several reported Court of King's Bench decisions. Kayla holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Saskatchewan College of Law and a B.A. Honours in Psychology from the University of Regina, and was called to the Saskatchewan bar in 2013. She has also completed collaborative law and mediation training and is pursuing a Master of Laws in Dispute Resolution at Osgoode Hall Law School.
