About Kapil

Kapil Rathod is the principal lawyer at Rathod Law Firm, bringing more than 13 years of experience in Canadian immigration matters. He began his career in 2011 as a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant, handling study permits, work permits, spousal sponsorships, and permanent residence applications, before becoming a licensed lawyer in Canada in 2019. Since then he has focused on appealing refused visitor visa, work permit, and permanent residence applications, along with failed refugee claims, at the Federal Court of Canada, and has brought numerous mandamus applications there as well. He also represents clients before the Immigration and Refugee Board. Beyond immigration, Kapil's practice extends to criminal law and family law, and he has appeared in the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice in addition to the Federal Court.
